Wyndham Virginia Crossings Helped Shannon ~ Waverly's Dreams Come True

Forecast for October 17, 2009 was highs in the low fifties and rainy conditions but that was not going to stop this bunch from having the time of their lives. Shannon & Waverly had their ceremony and reception out at the lovely Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Resort. United Wedding worked beside and with some very talented people. Eleise Theuer of Eleise Theuer Photography was a complete joy to work with and to top it all off she is an amazing photographer. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing her work I highly recommend you go to her website and see for yourself how awesome her work is. Cakes by Graham delivered a beautiful and very tasty cake, as always. Finally, Choice Entertainment's one and only JB Bostic handled all of the reception's formalities and music beautifully. Thanks for the sound feed from your board JB!
Shannon & Waverly had a perfect wedding and we are so happy to have been a part of it. Congratulations guys!

Celebration of Engagement and a Beautiful Day in Richmond,VA

United Wedding is always excited to work with a bride and groom before their actual wedding. We get to know them more as a couple and they get to see us in action. The combination of the two allows for a more inspired and more personable synergy on their actual wedding day. Artemis and Manolis are getting married at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral and having their reception at Wyndham Virginia Crossings. We are looking forward to working with them again and we can't wait to meet the rest of their family members and friends. We are also looking forward to working with our good friends and awesome photographers, Dale and Roshan Quarterman of Quarterman Photography.  Stay tuned and catch Artemis and Manolis' sneak peek in just a few weeks!

Autumn Wedding at the Sweely Estate Winery in Madison Virginia

When the all new Sweely Estate Winery opened in Madison Virginia for weddings it was a dream come true for Laura and David.  What a wonderful property to join lives and embark on the journey of marriage!  We had such a wonderful time with David and Laura, their family and friends.  They couldn't have chosen a more picturesque time of year to be in the Blue Ridge complete with rolling hills and the changing of the seasons.  Enjoy this "sneak peek" into the day with some awesome footage of the Sweely Estate Winery.

A Richmond Wedding at the Capitol and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts with a Southern twist

When Kristen approached us over a year ago to produce her wedding film we knew it would be an awesome day.  We are so fortunate to be able to spend the day with such a great couple and their family and friends.  The chemistry we developed with them is so important to the overall "feel" of their film.  Thanks so much Kristen and Adam!  We were once again joined by our good friends and awesome photographers, Dale and Roshan Quarterman of Quarterman studios!  There is no better match than a combination of fine art wedding films and fine art wedding photography when it comes to remembering your most magical of days!  Kristen and her ladies prepared for the day at the trendy Berkeley hotel in Richmond while Adam and his groomsmen readied themselves across the street at the Richmond Omni hotel.  St. Johns Church in Richmond Virginia provided a great place to get married on Stuart circle where some of the most breathtaking civil war monuments are located.  After a quick imaging session with the monuments the wedding party moved to the Virginia capitol building for what is simply an epic experience followed by an arrival at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for the reception!  Enjoy this "sneak peek" into Kristen and Adam's wedding day!

Ashley and Alex in Powhatan Virginia

What an awesome day!  The day started with myself, Martin, hanging out with Ashley and her girls while Cynthia spent some time with Alex and his fellows.  Ashley got ready at Alex's grandparents' house which was the same location as the reception.  The location couldn't have been more perfect for this couple.  There was a relaxed comforting feeling that lingered throughout the entire day.  Maybe it was because of the family setting or maybe it was because this couple truly new the importance of their wedding day.  I think it had a little to do with both.  The beautiful surroundings led to some awesome shots for our purposes and also for the photogs as well.  United Wedding teamed up with Quarterman Photography, which always makes for a fun day.  Photographers and filmmakers that have a mutual respect for one another can only lead to outstanding moments to be captured by both teams, which makes the client happier then they could have ever imagined.
Thank you Ashley and Alex for trusting us to produce your wedding film.  Enjoy the show!

Veritas Vineyard & Winery helped Lisa & Yen's dream wedding come to life.

Lisa and Yen started their destination wedding weekend with a kickoff rehearsal dinner at a trendy spot in Charlottesville known as the "X-Lounge".  Lisa and Yen started their wedding day by getting ready at the "Boars Head Inn" just a short distance away from the picturesque "Veritas Vineyards" where they would join hands and become man and wife in the presence of thier most cherished family members and friends with Rev. Clair Goodman presiding.  As the sun set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge mountains, Yen, Lisa and thier bridal party were treated to some of Martin's creativity as he filmed them in some awesome activities among the vineyards grape vines. A truly wonderful evening!  We were joined by John and Kimberly Sanderson of Sanderson Photography who are simply a joy to work with!  Thanks so much for all of your help guys!  The Veritas Chef, Said Rhafiri provided a meal that was second to none while the sounds of BS&M from Sam Hill Entertainment kept the wedding party entertained in the Veritas reception facility.  This wonderful event was coordinated by Sheila Motley of "The Event Company".  Lisa and Yen.. thanks so much for trusting us to produce your wedding film!

Hokie bird crashes wedding reception

They met on a bench out front of a hip coffee spot named Shokoe Espresso in Richmond Virgina and the rest they say is history! We had a wonderful time with Chris and Jana as we produced their wedding film. Chris and his groomsmen prepped for the festivities by starting the day off at Richmond's G-Force with some competition go-cart racing (seen only in the full film) while Jana and her ladies were treated to the hair and makeup talents of Lou Steven's "Glam Squad". The ceremony and reception were held at the Willow Oaks Country Club in Richmond Virginia. Chris is an avid fan of Virginia Tech and it was only befitting that Jana arranged to have a surprise visit from the Hokie Bird during the reception. It's always a pleasure to work along side the talented photographers, Pete and Liliana from PW Photography. Colleen Cook of CCS Events did an awesome job of coordinating the events of the day. Guests danced the night away along with the Hokie Bird to the sounds of Casper, one of the most entertaining bands around!
Thanks so much Chris and Jana for letting us be a part of your most magical of days!

Destination Wedding at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia

One of the most satisfying attributes about producing wedding films for couples is that we get to spend hours with them around the most cherished of friends and family with nothing but the most happy of times.  With many of our clients, we find our selves traveling great distances to produce thier wedding film.  In Anne and Randy's case we were fortunate enough to be in our backyard at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.  Anne and Randy united with family and friends after traveling from the Chicago land area to join their lives in a place that, as Anne puts it... "offers my style and Randy's golf".  It seems that when Anne was 10 years old she was in the very same ball room as her reception sharing with her mother and father that she would one day be married at this location.  With the help of Chicago wedding coordinator Hope Weis, Anne and Randy had a fabulous destination wedding!  We were honored to work side by side with Meg Runion of Rob Garland Photographers in Charlottsville VA!  Thanks Meg for all of your help, you guys are awesome!  The Greenbrier Resort... rich in history and nestled among some of the most picturesque of the Blue Ridge mountains is a fabulous location for an intimate wedding.  Thank you Anne and Randy for all of the good times!  Enjoy this destination wedding story! Love Story at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart

When we first met Mike and Bonnie we knew their wedding would be a blast!  What we didn't know was just how much fun we would have with them before the wedding.  We set out to film Mike and Bonnie's "engagement video / love story" just several days before the wedding, but once we saw the footage from the big day we just had to include some of it in this piece.  It is so obvious that they are so in love with one another!  Mike and Bonnie, Martin and I had so much fun with you both!  Thank you for all of the good times and the wonderful smiles, hugs and kisses!  Your wedding film will be that much more meaningful because of your passion for one another and your desire to have such a wonderful keepsake memory of your most magical of days! The Reception was held at the new Westin Richmond, be sure to notice the "way cool" water fall they have in the lobby! Mike and Bonnie didn't just get to enjoy the dream team (Martin, Scott, Stephanie, Brian and Kevin) from United Wedding but also some awesome photography with Don and Lindsay Mears of Don Mears Photography, always a pleasure Don!  With Alan Boyle of Choice entertainment as their DJ, the evening just kept getting better and better!  Alan is without a doubt one of Richmond's finest DJ's and does a wonderful job of providing just the right atmosphere for fun and laughter.  I hope you enjoy this "love story/engagement" film as much as we enjoyed producing it!

Erin & Adam's Sneak Peek from south of the James

What a wonderful day for a wedding!  I met up with Erin and her brides maids at her home where they were having their hair and makeup finalized, while Martin hung out with Adam and his boy's.  Jack from Down Under Limo (awesome vehicles Jack!) was at the house ready to transport the party to the church.  It was particularly touching to see how involved Bob (Erin's father) was with his daughter's wedding.  He had done quite a bit of research towards their first dance and actaully had a surprise instore for that moment.  The Manor Home at Celebrations at the Reservoir was the location of the reception festivities and everything was beautiful as always.  We were once again honored to work with DJ Mike Beene of Choice Entertainment! (Wonderful Job Mike!) Thanks to Daniel, Macee and Elise from DM foto.. what an awesome and talented team of artists you are!  It was great to work with you all and have such great chemistry...looking forward to it again!  Enjoy this "Sneak Peek" look into the most magical of days of Erin and Adam filmed by United Wedding.  Wedding day movies that are FUN to watch!

Wedding Story in the Outer Banks

When my friend and business partner Bill Gilliam (Choice Entertainment and BRIDESight.com) asked us if we would join them in the Outer Banks for an intimate setting with family and close friends while he took Jennifer to be his wife, the answer was conditional, "...you have to let me film it"! So here is a short clip entitled "Promises". I was moved by the vows that Bill and Jennifer wrote and I am certain that you will also find them refreshing. After rehearsal on Friday we feasted on an old family recipe for sphegetti and enjoyed wine and company thru the evening. The close group conveined Saturday evening on a pier in the Outer Banks of North Carolina to witness the joining of these two people. Mother nature was present from the wind to the beautiful sunset. We were fortunate enough to have just a bit of sunlight after the ceremony, so along with Dale and Roshan Quarterman of Quarterman photography, we got some awesome sunset beach sequences. Upon returning to the Gilliam beach house we enjoyed a wonderfully catered meal by friends, Jennifer McBride (Occassions Events and BRIDESight.com) and her husband Patrick. Jennifer and Patrick not only provided the food for the evening but Jennifer coordinated this wonderful event. I hope you enjoy this 'look" into the start of Bill and Jennifer's wedding film. Thanks Bill (Mushaki, Art, Joey and Buuga) and Jennifer for allowing us to be a part of your most magical of days!
